The Canterbury Plains is the food bowl of the South Island, producing more than half of New Zealand’s annual arable crops including grains and grasses.
Its rich alluvial soils and temperate climate are ideal for crops required for higher value markets - such as natural health and wellness products.
Folium Drying Ltd has 600-hectares of arable farmland in and around the Canterbury Plains. Here we grow certified organic crops including barley and wheatgrass.
